For EMC engineers working with CS101 (MIL-STD-461G) or DO-160 testing, Schlöder offers a practical and complete solution: the MGA CT B-50/100 coupling transformer with integrated differential amplifier. This system clearly differs from conventional coupling transformers, which often require external setups to monitor the injected voltage.
With the built-in amplifier, the measured differential voltage is easily and accurately available, with switchable gain levels tailored to both CS101 and DO-160 requirements. This shortens the overall test setup and increases measurement reliability. In addition, the amplifier provides high common-mode rejection (>60 dB at 400 Hz), which is essential for reproducible results in environments with significant interference.
The MGA CT is available in two versions: 50 A and 100 A continuous load, both without saturation. The frequency response extends from 10 Hz to 150 kHz (transformer) and up to 250 kHz (differential amplifier), covering a wide range of audio-frequency tests. An integrated, actively cooled 0.5 Ω precision resistor further simplifies CS101 power calibration.
For the user, this means fewer external components, faster test setups, and consistent measurement results. All necessary connection cables are included as standard, and an optional current probe up to ±100 A is available for secondary current measurements.
